NEWS/COMMENT: AuEx Ventures (XAU.V) reports interesting assay results

On June 28 AuEx Ventures reported interesting assay results that reveal an 80 foot intercept of 0.169 ounces gold per ton at West Pequop in Elko county. While this in itself may not be too exciting, this intercept is located approximately 150 feet east of an intercept of 55 feet of 0.189 ounces gold per ton in another borehole. So now there are two high grade intercepts in the same marble / limestone formation that give AuEx a direction to follow up. It could still turn out to not be worthwhile, however, the mineralization is reported to be open to the west, north and east. Based on these results, JV partner Agnico-Eagle has reported that it will increase the amount of reverse circulation drilling planned for the West Pequop project during 2007.

You can find the press release at http://www.auexventures.com/s/NewsReleases.asp?ReportID=194366.

A geological cross section indicating the position of the two intercepts is at http://www.auexventures.com/s/WestPequop.asp.
